“Clean Montauk Water Starts in
Hither Woods”

Montauk Storms

Montauk has experienced two major winter storms with hurricane force wind gusts, causing significant damage to coastal areas. The Army Corps of Engineers is starting a sand refill project and will place 450,000 cubic yards of sand on the beach, facilitated by the Great Lakes Dredging Company. Staging is taking place at the Kirk Park beach area, please be aware of road closures in this area. More storm photos here.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the completion of
the Paumanok Path in East Hampton Town, The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society hosted a very successful series of hikes from October to November.

Paumanok Path 25th Anniversary
New York State Proclamation

Come celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Third House and the 25th anniversary of the Paumanok Path on Sat. Nov 11. State Assemblyman Fred Thiele will be present at Third House at 2:00 PM, to present a Proclamation to the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society on the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Paumanok Path in East Hampton Town.
